After Netflix’s long-form gameplay demo, expectations for GTA6 hit a new high. The visuals, the two leads’ interactions and the open-world detail have all started to come into focus, but with the November 19, 2026 release still ahead, several key questions have no clear answer. Here are the six things players care about most right now.

1. How deep do the dual-protagonist switching and relationship system actually go?

1. How deep do the dual-protagonist switching and relationship system

The demo confirmed you can switch between Jason and Lucia at any point in a mission, one driving while the other shoots, and even divide duties within the same scene. But the depth of the relationship system is the bigger draw. Is the romance optional? Does the state of the relationship affect mission dialogue, ending branches, or the unlock of certain special missions? Rockstar says you can keep things purely professional or grow closer, but the mechanics and how far they reach haven’t been fully detailed.

2. How far can character appearance and life systems go?

2. How far can character appearance and life systems go?

Rockstar has confirmed you can change Jason and Lucia’s build and looks through exercise, diet and sleep. What players want to know is whether that’s minor tuning or a visible physical change on the level of Red Dead Redemption 2. Can you go further with hairstyles, tattoos and clothing style? How much can you customize your home’s interior? And will these life systems genuinely affect how characters perform in the world and how NPCs react to them?

3. When is the PC version coming, and how demanding will it be?

3. When is the PC version coming, and how demanding will it be?

The console release is locked in for November 19, 2026, with no official word on PC yet. Going by the port timelines for GTA5 (about 19 months) and RDR2 (a little over a year), the PC version most likely lands in late 2027 or 2028. Spec predictions generally put the minimum at an RTX 3060-class GPU with 16GB of RAM and recommended at an RTX 4070/5070 with 32GB, plus a mandatory SSD. The final official numbers are still unknown.

4. How will GTA Online carry forward?

4. How will GTA Online carry forward?

Rockstar stresses that GTA6 is a “single-player experience,” but GTA Online remains a major revenue source for the company. The question players keep asking: will the existing Online carry over to the new engine? Will there be an all-new online mode? Will new maps, vehicles and activities be added gradually after GTA6 launches? Or will there be a separate, next-generation online service?

5. How much map exploration and free-form activity will there really be?

5. How much map exploration and free-form activity will there really b

Leonida takes in Vice City, the Leonida Keys, swamps, ports and more. The demo already showed dense city life, wildlife, dynamic weather and traffic. Players want to know how dense the random events are, whether there’s a deep bench of side hustles and hidden activities, and whether the map truly lets you do whatever you want or still funnels you along the main story.

6. How strong will the music, radio and cultural content be?

6. How strong will the music, radio and cultural content be?

Radio and local culture have always been one of the series’ souls. Real Dimez, Only Raw Records and Boobie Ike’s club have already made their debut, and players are waiting to see how many stations there are and how good the tracklists are. Will there be local rap, Latin music and electronic music that taps Florida more directly? Will in-game social media, influencers and viral videos become playable, interactive systems?

None of these questions have final answers yet, and that unknown is exactly what keeps GTA6 so full of possibility before launch. As more previews and official information come out, the answers will fill in piece by piece. For players, what’s really worth looking forward to is verifying it all first-hand in Leonida, a land where sunlight and shadow run together.
